SaltwaterU is an educational conference hosted by the Atlanta Reef Club, promoting "Preservation through Education" through a series of lectures and workshops. This annual event started in 2005 and enjoyed success beyond expectations. This year's event continues to build upon the educational offering, appealing to interests in a number of areas:

Ecological preservation of our oceans and the life contained within Saltwater-related hobbies, including saltwater fish and reef tanks

SCUBA enthusiasts and snorkelers

Teens and kids interested in ecological preservation

Anyone looking to increase awareness and education

SaltwaterU 3 will be held at the Marriott Marquis on May 4, 5, & 6, 2007.

We will be hosting speakers known throughout the industry for their research and literature. We have opened up a part of the conference to vendors, to allow new products to be introduced and demonstrated. We had tremendous success with the Teen Education Program, and in 2007, the program will be extended to more teens and offer more opportunities. We will also be hosting a couple small, intimate workshops to demonstrate coral propagation and other hands-on techniques.
